What is Valk Exclusief? What is the difference with Valk.com?

Van der Valk is divided into two groups. Valk Exclusief is the umbrella for 42 Van der Valk hotels & Restaurants. Valk Exclusief has its own account system and exclusive deals. An overview of all Valk Exclusief hotels can be found here.

Do I have to book through this website?
No, you can book on all websites of our participating hotels with your Valk Account. You can easily log in with your Valk account on every Valk Exclusief website, both on the hotel sites and the umbrella websites.

If I want to book an offer at Valk Exclusief, where can I do that?
Our offers that apply to all Valk Exclusief hotels can be booked via www.valkvoordeel.nl.

What is the minimum age for a room reservation?
Check-in is allowed from the age of 18. Minors must always be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian (minimum 25 years old). However, the possibilities may vary per hotel. Please contact the desired hotel for more information.

Can I stay with my pet?
Yes. It is possible to stay with your pet at a large number of Valk Exclusief locations. Click here to see at which Valk Exclusief hotels it is possible to stay with your pet.

Rates & Cancellation What is a non-refundable reservation?
This is a reservation with the most advantageous available rate: non-refundable rate. You must pay this reservation directly online during booking, and it cannot be canceled or changed thereafter.

What is a flexible rate reservation?
This is a reservation that must be paid online 24 hours before check-in time, otherwise the reservation will be automatically canceled.

What is an early-bird reservation?
This is a reservation with an extra sharp rate for early bookers, which must be paid online immediately. This rate cannot be canceled or changed free of charge. The early-bird conditions vary per hotel, so please inquire at the relevant hotel about their early-bird conditions.

What is a last-minute reservation?
A last-minute reservation is one with a sharp rate that is booked at short notice. This means that the booked overnight stay will take place within 2 weeks at the time of booking. Last-minute deals can only be found on a last-minute page and not among the packages, rooms, or other promotions.

Until when can I cancel free of charge?
Below you will find an overview of the cancellation conditions of our rates.

  • Free cancellation until: Regular rate 12:00 on the day of arrival
  • Non-refundable rate: Not cancellable
  • Flexible rate: Up to 24 hours before check-in time
  • Early bird rate: Not cancellable
  • Last-minute rate: 12:00 on the day of arrival
  • Sustainable Stay: Not cancellable

Do all room types have the same cancellation conditions?
No, each hotel applies its own cancellation conditions for different room types such as suites and family rooms. You can find these specific conditions on the reservation confirmation.
